Peter Coates - Sculpture, stone carving, lettering. Telephone: 01653 669441. Artist/craftsman working on projects in public spaces, from landscape and architectural projects to galleries and sensitive historical sites. Major commissions in the UK and abroad range from the monumental in scale to smaller, more intimate work. Peter is a Crafts Council selected maker and member of Contemporary Applied Arts. Work also involves collaboration with internationally renowned artists including Ian Hamilton Finlay.

York Open Studios - the seventh York Open Studios event will take place over the weekend of 4, 5 and 6 April 2008. A group of selected professional York artists (which changes every year) open their studios or homes over one weekend in the year to exhibit their work.
