Brawby - shops, services and
village facilities:
Brawby village is almost self-sufficient.
You can buy wood and tin to build a shed, the chickens to put
in it, the straw for bedding, the corn to feed them, the logs
for your stove to cook your eggs in the house that Geoff the
Brawby builder built.
The village is served by numerous
mobile shops, high street stores and Tesco.com supermarket deliveries.
You can also buy fresh free-range eggs from a Brawby farm. Nearly
all the local market town shops in Malton, Pickering and Kirkbymoorside
deliver goods to the village. Brawby is now part of a cycle loop!
Travel times to Brawby and history here.
Steve's famous mobile Fish
and Chip van calls on Tuesday. If you don't have access to
a computer there are weekly buses to all three towns where computers
are easily accessible in either the libraries or internet cafes.
BT will enable broadband internet access in March 2005. Brawby
is nearing the forefront of the technological age! Many people
work from home in IT and other industries.
